My Brunei Trip (161206-010107)

Im now on 9V-SLC, SQ182 operated by Silk Air using their A320 aircraft at 37,000ft above sea level where the local time is 1000hrs J

As I was looking at my blog sometime back, I realized that the last entry was in October. It wasn’t that long ago but to me it still is. In any case, prior to my last blog, I was actually preparing to leave for Brunei and things weren’t good.

Many a times we see and hear of people who say that a family is closest when something happens in the family. As much as I would like to agree with that statement, however beneath this fact, is something that contradicts that statement.

There are still politics running in the family. Interesting as it sounds, that is what is happening in my home. Well I wouldn’t solely say that its onli in my home but also in other people’s home.

Hmm barely 2 months since I got back frm Brunei, here I am blogging at 37,000ft above sea level. Rich some people would say but well in times of need, money is something we cannot be stingy with.

This morning I woke up at 0530 hrs. Usually, SQ182 would depart at 0940. Yes I would be flying SQ but operated by MI. Doesn’t make much of a diffy to me since I always flying either of this. Plus the aircraft for MI and BI are the same.

Back to my story, well I took a cab to the airport and well wen I was there, the row was already opened and the flight was actually 0905. Terrible.. Goodness Thank God I didn’t assume the flight was at 1000 and that I checked when I was at the airport.

In any case, checked in and all and later wen into transit area. Flight was extremely FULL.. Goodness.. Saw a few familiar faces J Managed to get my cutlery set.. hehehe.. so happy. Had nasi lemak and it was YUMMY!!!

There were prawns.. Real fresh peeled prawns. Dessert was some chocolate cake thingy with fruits… Not Fruit cake though. Bread roll well had seeds.. Unlike BI.. Dwn in J Class, they have their SMALL DIGIPLAYERS.

Here in EY, I have a 15” lappy with ALL my fav songs and MOVIES!!! Hehe.. Now tats called “A class of its own” hiaks.. ahaha..

Im currently up in the air.. They are doin inflight sales.. I know the SFSS but I doubt she recognizes me.. There are 2 more whom I recognize 1 of them do recognize me im not sure of the other cos she doesn’t seem to show.. Of course she gave me the occasional smile..

Hmm well now tat I have practically covered my flight.. Will jus briefily touch on life th last few weeks. Trip to Brunei was ok I mean lots happened.. Was glad that my mum and I came in time and we were able to be the mediator in various aspects of the family.

As the nephew and the well perhaps unimportant one, the trip indeed made my relatives change their perception of me. Perhaps of the way I do things and I talk.. I dunno but non of my cousins were consulted to share their tots on politics in the family however I was approached and well yea.. Did wonders with the power.

Literally got my fav unc’s family back on track and I guess he really trust me tat much J. Tis of course was wen he was in Singapore so I was jus there to tidy up the messy they had. I mean not literally mess but yea..

This time my goin there is to jus follow up and spend time. Funny how family politics can actually tear a family apart. Interesting and well I guess contradictions are always everywhere but its how each individual plans to use various methods to prevent it from happening.

Even jealousy. Im glad that now my bro and I aren’t jealous of each other cos we practically lead separate lives though under the same roof and all.. I mean wen we were young, we wanted the same material stuff.

However now yes we do have the same wants however its now

171206 Sunday 1547hrs

Yesterday after touch dwn, immigration was terrible.. Had to wait and wait.. The officers were chatting and chatting from topics like “Have you eaten?” to “How was your flight?” and not even looking at the passport to issue the stanp.. Terrible.. Was very pissed..

After I was cleared, there was a change in the belt. Apparently moments before my flight arrived, there was a flight arriving from FRA.. Crew were all waiting so thus they changed the belt.

Managed to get out without having to go through customs check.. Everything was quite ok but was quite tired.. Maybe because of the lack of sleep. Finally reached and well things were quite good.

This morning woke up at 11 plus.. Nothing much really happened nothing much to talk about as well. Jus tat my cousin who jus had a child, well she would be goin through a divorced soon. Pity the kids this days. Hmm next few days would be here being my unc’s nurse.

Deep inside me, im so deprived of internet. Dam RP for their internet environment.. Sometimes the internet can be both to our advantage and also disadvantage. On the gd side, it helps us in our work be it in research or whatever is it we are doin, on the bad side, we are too dependent on it.. And wen we are at somewhere where the internet is not widely available, that’s were we are dead.

PBLic for example is one advantage. PBLic derived from PBL or Problem Based Learning where the users or process is called PBLic, is something that really helps us but haiz for me now, im dead without it..

Then again, tis would be a gd time for me to hit the bibles and do my QT and talk to God since its Sunday and since I haven’t been goin to church etc. Would do it later.. Yes im Procrastinating and it’s a sin but.. J Nil comments.

O yes! Back to my story abt my bro and I, well now its who has the capability of getting our wants.. I mean we are peaceful because we don’t fight etc and this im glad and blessed. Thank God for this. J

Hmm my uncle is here.. My mum’s cousin… Hmm family politics.. Really kills the family.. Pride, Ego too.. These are things we cannot control… I mean even if we want to, it takes 2 hands to clap… One side can work but if the other side refuses to do anything then nothing will come out of it…

191206 Tuesday: Low Morale; 1427

Didn’t really blog yday cos there weren’t much to really blog about… Yday was quite alright.. Followed Unc Mel aka Baba to the hospital to take his blood. After taking his blood, we headed back home and well he was quite ok.

Everything was ok. Was kinda like his nurse. Was sitting watching him to see if he needed anything till I dozed off… Dinner and all was ok.. At night this agent frm some co, came.. Apparently my aunt purchased some health products from him so he just dropped by and well yea gave some advise…

This morning, again headed to the hospital and did some follow up and just to update him on his blood test. All seemed fine… When we got home, I asked if he wanted to eat… He told me “if im hungry I’ll ask for food.”

Later I kinda toasted a piece of bread. Gave it to him and again he gave me the same thing and his attitude well tone rather was rather angry and cross… Didn’t really bother nor care though.. Headed back into the kitchen and spend some time there.

In the afternoon, my aunty came back and got us some food.. I was in the shower then. Moments later, I heard cousin crying. When I got out, I heard crying and shouting downstairs.. My other cousin was in her room on the same level playing her game.

As I have been sleeping in the room, I went to her room to put my stuff down and immediately asked her what was happening down stairs… We rushed down to see what was going on… Everyone was quarrelling and so on.

My aunty later got my 2 younger cousins and rushed off.. Very dramatic I know. Well that was how things were moving.. Am glad that things were ok soon after well glad I did come in useful to clear the mess.

We had lunch and later and well stuff went back as per normal…. Hmm my cousin is having problems with her marriage and going to get a divorce soon… My 4^th unc’s wife, its been some time since they’ve been together…

For the past few visits, I was quite well initially I was quite hostile towards her however as time went by it was the occasional “hi” and “hello” onli through this trip, that I really chatted with her and so on..

Very cool… She is very nice and hehe.. very nasty too.. Not towards me but to my cousin’s husband’s gf… It very natural I guess.. Really enjoy this bonding with my aunt.. hehe.. In fact every night, we kinda have our “mini bitching session”…

Think ill just end here for now.. Hmm the ups and dwns we face in life.. Stikes a balance but too much of either of each, we got to make a stand and make things rite.

Leaving For Singapore

Time now is 1328, current altitude 37000ft, on board SQ181, 9V-SLB, operated by Silk Air using their A320.. Took off from Brunei at 1220.. Flight today is good.. Lekchimmi, Priya, Jolene, Jennifer (SFSS), Norlee, along with 2 other NEW girls.. hehe.. One is Gwen and the other I cant remember her name.

Aside from the 2 new girls, the rest are all familiar faces to me.. Trying to get them to pack my tray for me as in the plates etc.. heheh..

Last night at the stroke of midnight which was 2007, while others were happy partying away, I was sleeping.. SO TERRIBLE!!! Recording breaking!!! Hmm for the first time, I didn’t cry wen I left however I was actually reluctant..

Its like I wan to go but I don wan to go but I got no choice.. Very Contradicting.. Mixed emotions.. Very Human.. ;) Listening to Don’t cha by Pussycat Dolls.. Yet again a class of its own.. ahaha.. Actually shld be “A Class of MY own” hehe..

Touching down shortly I believe.. I Cant wait to get back home to see my cute bear bear Russell
Overal this trip was good I was able to see my aunty and the bonding and all was there.. She is older than me by 8yrs old and im calling her aunty.. My other aunty is 44 I think.. Cool rite??
