A Week Overdued.... For 200107

Last Sat was working 1800-0300.. The day started off quite ok I mean mummy wasn’t home and I had the home all to myself and it was something long wanted to have noe one at home onli me, my animals and I however I guess the dwn side was that I was actually working..

Was online and watching tv.. Lets jus say my tv watching kinda overshot and yea was rather well not later for work.. Everything was ok till I reached airport and I had to enter the security area.. I actually forget to bring my airport pass.. Taboo man.

Its like a crew not bringing passport for flight.. argh… man!!!

Called my team leader and asked him for the DM’s no. called the DM and explained the situation to him.. For a moment I tot I would be in hot soup however im blessed that he didn’t flare up at me. Rushed home grabbed my pass and well took a cab to work.

Reached work at 1850… Considered first hour break. Well jus wen around doing my stuff.. Well have to say after not working for sometime, forget how to use the walkie and well ahah managed to get those so called senior staff to do the job I mean I wasn’t tat bad lah I too did do my share wif the walkie so yea..

Flights were quite ok initially I mean QF, and BA.. a bit confusing because all code share and its e same and im still trying to grasp the flights… Some how I dunno y I can recall all of SQ’s flights even if its code share but never QF and so on… Weird..

Problems were zero and well zero problem day was short lived because when TG landed, again the usual thing.. Some bags were still in BKK.. hahah.. But that was settled and seamlessly… Really thankful to God..

As more midnight flights started to arrive, the crowd actually started grow. Then I had JL on my side and I saw the arrival board and saw tis MU flight, MU545 which was retimed however I kinda said loudly that it be retime to something later like way after I have gone home and well moments after tat, the “CONFIRMED” flashed and the arrival time was 0344 and I was jumping with joy cos this meant that I need not handle the flight.

However I was so dam wrong!!! While handling my JL, my DM came to me and approached me and asked me wat time I was ending and well I kinda told him that I ended at 0300 and he requested if I could go home after handling that MU flight..

He asked if I could go home at 0500 and he would arrange for cab for me and well I said 5 cannot but I said 0430 can. So he later said ok can. So yea 0430 it was. Later I went home with my flights and had tis UA arrival frm Philadelphia and had tis pax who was from SFO and well he was on transit and his bag was not on the flight.

We checked and after breaking the news to him that his bag was not on the flight, he was very angry and displeased. He flared up saying stuff like “United Airlines sux” etc etc and whole lot more.

I escorted him to the Lost & Found to lodge his report and well kinda checked where his bag was and the system reflected “SFO” and told him that it was in SFO.. He flared up even more and well he asked when would it arrive..

Thing was system reflect 21 Jan but the thing that we don’t know is if the bag would arrive Singapore on 21 Jan or depart SFO on the 21 of Jan.. Wen around handling my other flights. Later after that, my DM asked my colleague to go to the other side because SV has a flight frm Medina and it was a full load flight because it was the return of the pilgrims.. ahha

There was like 7 pallets, 2 trolleys, and I think 2 skids or cargos and cant remember 2 more of something. Belt 22 and 23 were taken up. 22 was for their luggage’s and 23 was for the air zam zam also known as holy water.

On 21, I had CA403 frm Chengdu. It was so annoying.. like I had to direct passengers of CA403 to us the left hand side of belt 21 because the right hand side till 23 was all take up for the pilgrimage flight.

It was VERY CHAOTIC.. I mean everyone was running around and the staff were all involved.. The first batch of air zam zam came out and we were busy offloading them from the belt and I was goin around handling passengers who were puzzled by the large crowd.. It was not onli chaotic in the arrival hall but also where the waiting area was.. All the relatives who fetched those returning.. It was so crowded and well all e staff were waiting for lots of staff and we were all geared up for e mess and well 2 other male colleagues removed their ties and all but I tucked mine into the shirt.. *hiaks*

Soon the flight was cleared and I had to rush to handle my QR 627. Flight was quite ok.. Light load.. Finlayy after, I could slack around.. not many flights to handle.. It was soon 2 plus and all the 0300 staff were preparing to leave and I cant and I found out there was GF149 & Air Zimbabwe frm PEK to handle before my MU flight!!!!!

Best part was I was told to handle it too… SOLO mind you. So yea did it and well was proud of myself.. Managed to handle the flight and all done with class and dam sui! Ahaha..

Its 0300 and i have Zits popping out..

Awaiting pax of GF149 to come out.. While they are arriving from SYD, im dreaming of SYD..

GF 149 Landed but bags not out yet.. :'(

Nightmare flight MU545 landed and I tell u, looking for pax wif missing bags when u don have the tag no. is hell… Seriously! I mean like I had to wait till the bags are clared and then after that from there, start asking one by one and well yea 44 plus bags weren’t on the flight and yea asked and explained to them the situation.

They were given 2 choices.. 1 was we can do a report for them and deliver it to them however IF customs wan to seize their bags for some reason, they would have to come back dwn to the airport again to collect it and the second choice was wait for the flight tat MU telexed saying that their bags would be on the flight MU 543 which would arrive 30mins after their flight which was 0455… it was quite funny..

This Singaporean pax told me that she would want to make a report and well ok I brought her to the airport and asked her wat happened.. This was wat happened.. This MU flight, was suppose to go to Tokyo and apparently this aircraft broke dwn and at the same time, there was another flight to Singapore.

So they took the aircraft meant for Singapore to operate the flight to Tokyo.. The Singapore flight on the other had was delayed because they had to wait for another flight from Beijing to arrive and while waiting, the airline did nothing for this passengers like provide meals etc and the aircraft apparently was downsized.. Passengers had to recheck in LOTS of items..

For the first time in my life, I have passengers not few but whole flight of them who had to wait told me that they were hungry. While bringing this lady to make her report, I asked her wat happened and so the story was as above.. So that’s y they were hungry.. After sending that lady, I rushed back to the belt because all Chinese speaking and my Chinese was very half pass 6.

Still managed to make it though.. VERY HAPPY hehe… Then later I had tis passenger rushed to be and ranted off like a bullet train.. My officer who was wif me on the other hand kept neggin at me on wat to tell her and its those situation where u have 2 pple 1 chicken and another duck ranting and nagging instructions at u and its was frustrating and I told him to wait and e china girl to talk slowly and explain wat happen.

I asked her for her baggage tag and when I requested for her to open the thingy for me, I was stunned because her pi pa broke! For the first time, I saw a piece of Jade on top of it and it was very expensive and the jade broke and chipped and the string part for the pi pa broke and some minor details too came off.. Shocking.. I mean the staff at Shanghai kinda psychoed her into signing an indemnity form and so I tot that he didn’t sign e form.

She asked what happens now so I said they airline would compensate her and while she was doing her report, I was preparing to go home cos everything was cleared. While I was in office preparing the necessary stuff and arranging my taxi, I did a follow up on her case and asked my officer wats goin to happen to her and well they said that nothing much can be done cos she signed the form.. poor thing..

Went to Departure Row 3 to take my cab and the uncle was fierce.. However I noticed his taxi had lots of stickers and mind u of planes and so on.. So I engaged in a conversation.. I asked him “uncle don mind me asking, how u get all ur stickers?”

Immediately, his friendly side showed.. he went like “O this date back from 1979! How old are u?” I said “20” and he said “o you not even born” and went on with his story… Soon I reached home and yea it was 5 and after showering, it was 5 plus.. the moment I lied dwn, I immediately departed to dream…
