IOC

Tis morning, i woke up at 7am. Baring in mind tat i onli slp at 5am. I onli had 2 hrs of slp well more like a nap. Anyway i woke up at 7am. Met my classmate to get to RC together. They told us tat e bus would come at 9.30am.

We arrived at 9am thinking tat we were late. However, wen we arrived, we were early. So i played a few pranks wif my classmates calling n telling them tat e bus wat leaving without them blah blah blah... Then wen they got so panicked, i told them i was joking, n i think u shld know wat happened lah.. they were cursing their heads off at me.

We waited n waited. n it was nearly 10am. Today was somewat a packed day for me. Wat happened was tat my IOC Committee Briefing was pushed to 12.30pm. And i would be released at 2pm. So i made arrangements n told them tat i would reach at 2.30pm.

However, looking at e time, i was very unsure wen they said tat they would end at 2pm sharp. So i sneaked off. I told my friends if anyone asked where i was, say i rush off to somewhere.. There n then, e moment wen i stepped out of RC, i called my IOC friends.

I had like 1hr n 30mins to get home, get changed, and meet them. Tis was nothing for me. Thankfully the buses were all prompt. Upon reaching e bus stop, i waited for a split second n 31 came. At the interchange, e moment wen i got off e bus, i was walkin to take 29.

Jus then i saw 28. So i boarded tat. N with mins i was back home. Had to iron my clothes for my IOC briefing, then after tat shower AGAIN. Pls bare in mind tat i work in e airport n some of e cabin crew do know me so naturally u too would wan to leave them a gd impression of u.

Shu shu also told me tat i had tis skit to do. I was memorising e script n i was so nervous. Well i tried not to think of it.. Met my IOC friends. First was Hazlina, at e MRT station, then it was Weili. Then we took e bus to National Stadium.

It was like abt 12.15pm by then n seriously i was dam worried. Cos Boon Siang Li (IFS of SQ appeared on news) along wif Cassandra (Calander girl for SQ also seen but not interviewed) were the 2 conducting e talk. Having to have seen Siang Li, and knowing her being strict n stern, i was quite fearful.

Firstly i was scared tat we would be not really scolded but highlighted of our bad example, and secondly my hair n all.. I mean Hazlina was e onli one dress appropiately. I was in jeans n polo but was in sandals. Weili was in t shirt shorts n slippers.

So yea. Well we were talkin on e bus on our way there.. n we reached like at 12.30 sharp. Wen we were there, we didnt know where it was. Somehow my instinct told me tat we had to go to tis high class area. Indeed we were rite. cool! hehe

Earlier i did mention tat i was afraid tat Siang Li was there.. Thank God, she n a whole lot were at e media brief.. They were e ones mainly handling e press.. more of tat later. back to our briefing. Well it was pushed earlier bcos there were jus lots to go thru.

My OIC, passed me a copy of e letter sent to my sch to inform them tat im in etc. so i was like so honored wen i received tat letter.. haha dunno y also. But well it was more of like a repeat thingy. So i was very bored by it. Onli till i heard tat private jets are coming, it was then i tat started asking qns. so yea...

Soon its was e actual briefing session. N were had to collect our shirts first. Each of us had like 3 pieces of e shirt. I had like 2 whites n 1 blue. Girls were like wat u saw on tv. My shu shu was wearing e blue. If u wan to know how my shu shu looks like, he was e one digging his teeth it was on e news. Well they did a show for e media.

Which was also meant for us. Hmm yougest girl who was on TV, i was actually e youngest.. But then i had to attend my briefin so my shu shu said i don have to attend e media thingy.. Well wat they tot were like wat i picked up frm crew while working. so its like a recap.

My hair, hmm have to get it cut b4 e thingy.. well next week would go for one lor.. wan to look gd though.. My face was on tv. But kinda blurr.. but was kinda hapy tat i didnt have to go on stage n all.. hehe was spared.. Wen i was greeting some of e cabin crew, Hazlina n Weili were wondering how come i knew them.. so i explained to them..

WAs fun lah today. Minus e fact tat i had to lie to my NDP mentor. saying tat my grandmother was sick.. Kinda felt bad lah.. but well both are important to me lor.. so yea.. Well i managed to strike a conversation wif Cassandra, very nice lady..

She did look a bit tired. It was till later during e grooming session tat she revealed tat she jus came back frm a 13hr flt tis morning. i think it was frm Frankfurt.. or London.. so yea.. Well she surely did know how to keep fresh. she did share her beauti secrets which im not going to revea here.

Hmm well i feared Boon Siang Li. Though she was nice. Somehow i think im getting e hang of tis rank thingy n i don think i would have a prob wen i become a crew so yea.. hehe.. Well Collected my shoes too.. well got most of e sponsored items accept e accredation card.


After tat i wen home.. i did wan to mingle wif e crew more. But then was kinda tired. guess would do it wen im on duty.. i enjoyed today n am very excited n be part of tis big event. I loved being wif e cabin crew n seriously hope to be part of them one day.. :)
